The parish records have been used to register the baptism, marriage and death certificates, but the priest often wrote down other information: confirmation lists, acts about brotherhoods, factual comments... The registers of the parish of Froeningen contain also the list of the anniversary masses which have to be celebrated for the deceaseds' salvation. It mentions their names and those of their spouses, the dates of the masses (this permits one to quickly locate a death certificate) and the sum of money (15 sols 6 deniers) paid to the priest on this occasion.
